We breed and raise cattle on our pastures to make great eating
beef for sale to restaurants, retail shops and individuals. we
try our best to take care of our fields, woods and the stream
that runs thru, and for which we named the farm.Breeding cows
must produce a calf every year to stay in the game, so in
essence they are a self-selecting group that functions in the
same environment as their calves will face as they grow up
either to enter the breeding herd themselves or to produce good
beef to eat.
Our cattle do not live in a a barn or feed-lot. They take
shelter where they find it outdoors under or behind trees and
bushes as did their ancestors through the ages. Beef
cattle are well adapted for outdoor living. They did not evolve
in barns.
